From Cape Town: Stellenbosch Four Estate Full-Day Wine Tour

About This Experience

Four estates in a day is more than most Winelands tours attempt, and this one is built around depth rather than distance: everything stays in the Stellenbosch region, so time goes into the farms instead of the road.

Stellenbosch is one of the oldest towns in South Africa, and the tour includes a guided drive through its Cape Dutch streets before heading out to the estates. The four stops deliberately mix the iconic names with smaller family-run farms — the sort of place you would not find without a guide.

Beyond the tastings there is a cellar and vineyard tour explaining how the wine is actually made, and pairings that run well past the usual cheese board: local cheeses, cured meats and Fair Trade artisanal chocolate, each matched to specific wines. Lunch is included.

Hotel pickup and drop-off from Cape Town are included, and the day runs about eight hours.

What Travelers Say

Rated 4.8/5 by 269 verified GetYourGuide travelers.

This was by far our most favorite activity. Our guide Henry was energetic, fun, knowledgable, all-around a great guy. The estates were top notch, especially the boutique one where we did wine matching to cheese & chocolate. The session there was superb. The van is comfortable, with great music selection from 80s & 90s. All the occupants of the van bonded and had a great day.
